Why me, why now (or short story long) …
I have a unique blend of circumstance and knowledge that have led me to now and qualify me to do this work.
First and foremost from being around 14 or 15 years old until my early 50s I over-ate.
I’ve worn the plus-sizes. I’ve asked the “why can’t I just do it? “ question a few million times and I’ve hidden more chocolate wrappers than I’ve had hot dinners. Literally.
And I found my way out.

I experimented, I failed, I experimented some more and I practiced. I stripped food of it’s power and changed my belief about it being a treat or reward.
I now feel free around food. I enjoy it, I’m still a foodie, but it doesn’t rule me. And as a by-product, I’ve found my happy weight. And boy does it feel good!
All of this has had a massive ripple effect out to different areas of my life, and happy is my new normal.

Secondly, I worked in the UK diet industry for 17 years.
The first few years I was excited about building a business helping people.
By the last few years, I was ashamed of what I did for a living.
Because what I'd learned is that going on a diet is like putting a sticking plaster on a broken arm. We need to heal from the inside out to achieve the true real and lasting change we’ve longed for.
A diet will never teach you what to do when you've had a bad day instead of reaching for wine, crisps and chocolate.
A diet will never teach you how to relax after a manic week without using food
A diet will never change a life time of engrained habits
So of course, only a tiny minority of my clients got “forever” results they longed for
The majority of my clients signed up for the same diet every January. At around the same weight every year.
Now I’m not throwing shade or shame on those people. The struggle was real. I more than most understand that.
But it had to stop. There had to be a different way.
So I took the best of what I had used to transform my own eating, took the most effective of all the therapies and techniques that I had become qualified in over the years and created The Other Way.
The Other Way provides the solution where diets do not.
Because life's too precious to spend any of it on a diet.
And the opposite of dieting is no longer just giving up.
There is now The Other Way
